Beginning August 7, 2013, I will be serving a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the Paris, France mission, for a period of 2 years.  As a missionary, my purpose will be to “invite others to come unto Christ by helping them receive the restored gospel through faith in Jesus Christ and His Atonement, repentance, baptism, receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost, and enduring to the end.”  – Preach My Gospel, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints

The restored gospel of Jesus Christ has blessed my life, and the lives of my family tremendously.  As I have strived to follow Christ’s example, and lived according to His teachings, I have found greater love in the home, a renewed faith in Jesus Christ and in myself, and an increased strength to overcome my personal trials.  Just as loving parents eagerly yearn for their child’s success, we have a Father in Heaven who wants nothing more than to help his children grow and progress during this earthly life.  Because I have felt the love of my Heavenly Father many times in my life, I know that He loves us, and is mindful of each and every one of His children.  I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God and contains the fulness of the gospel of Jesus Christ because I have read it, sincerely prayed to know of its truthfulness, and received an answer to that it is true.  I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God, and that through Him, the gospel was restored.

I feel privileged to be the Lord’s servant for the next 2 years, and look forward to the wealth of spiritual experiences that I will have as I find those whose hearts have been prepared to receive this joyous message.

This blog will be periodically updated with my mission experiences, so follow me on this journey through France as I put on my suit, tie and tag.

“And ye shall go forth in the power of my Spirit, preaching my gospel, two by two, in my name, lifting up your voices as with the sound of a trump, declaring my word like unto angels of God.”  – Doctrine & Covenants 42:6
